Body Language Playing Cards

packs of 52 playing cards (plus 2 jokers)

exhibited by Lapland in Plaid @ Galerie Bortiers, Brussels and Glasgow Art Fair 1997

poses depicted on the cards were of people playing cards in poses ranging from very huddled and defensive (e.g 2's and 3's) to very relaxed (e.g. Kings and Aces)

These cards can be used to play all your favourite traditional card games.

Furthermore, the 52 original drawings provides you with the opportunity to develop and create your own games relating the poses depicted on the cards with the actual poses of you and your fellow players.

For example, in a simple game like "Snap" you might strive to match the body language of your rival players with that depicted on the cards.
